Poetry For Your Valentine
Nothing says "I love you" quite like a poem. Even people who normally aren't excited about poetry find a poem on Valentines Day to be incredibly romantic.
Pen Your Own Poem
If you're feeling really creative, you can try your hand at writing your own poem. If doesn't have to be award winning rhyme. That's not the point. Nobody knows your sweetheart like you do, so just think about what you love about that person, then write in down in the form of a poem.
If nothing else, you could try one entitled, "I Love You Because", then just make a list of things you like about your valentine, and if you're really cooking, make them rhyme!
It may not be the most fantastic poem ever written by literary standards, but if it's written with sincere feelings, your sweetheart won't care about that. It's truly the thought that counts here, and your caring enough to write the poem will make them smile.
Borrow Someone Else's Words
If you just positively can NOT see yourself writing a poem, borrow someone else's words. Find a romantic poem that says what you feel but can't seem to put into words yourself. There are lots of places online with free valentine poems.

Make It Into A Card
Whether you write your own or borrow someone else's words, don't just write the poem on a scrap of paper and hand it to your sweetheart. Make it look good too!
Print it out on some nice paper. You can find all kinds of paper with different designs at almost any store that carries paper for printers. Then put in a nice envelope, or roll it up like a scroll and tie it with a ribbon.
If you want to put pen to paper, try writing or printing or even calligraphy on some pretty paper. Just make sure it's legible! It doesn't do any good to say lovely things if your love can't read it!
Another option is to buy a commercial valentine card, and insert your poem in with it.
Poems Equal Romance
A love poem is a great romantic way to celebrate Valentine's Day. It doesn't matter if you wrote it yourself, or found one that someone else wrote that says what you feel, just try it!
Your sweetheart will love you for it!
